You Might Be Wondering...
What happens in the first session?
In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you in, go over your history, and set some goals together. It’s also a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes—your privacy is protected by law. Everything we talk about stays between us, with a few legal exceptions. I’ll go over all of this during our first session.
How is my information stored?
Your information is stored securely using SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform designed for mental health professionals. This includes your intake forms, session notes, and any messages or billing information.
Do you accept insurance?
I’m not in-network with any insurance plans. However, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.
How do I find out if my insurance will reimburse me?
Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health therapy?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
How do I submit a superbill?
What if I’m in crisis or need immediate help?
If you are in immediate danger or need urgent mental health support, please use one of the following resources:
Call or text 988 – the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7
Call 911 – if you or someone else is in immediate physical danger
Go to your nearest emergency room
Text HOME to 741741 – to reach the Crisis Text Line for free, 24/7 support via text
Do you keep records of our sessions?
Yes, I keep brief clinical notes after each session. These are part of standard best practices in therapy and help track your progress and goals.
